About Provision Trade Federation

Our Structure

PTF is headed by our current Chairman, Nick Hilton, Managing Director of Fayrefield Foods Ltd, and is supported by a London-based secretariat managed by the Director General, Clare Cheney.

The Council

PTF is controlled by a Council made up of elected members and the Chairman of each membership Section. 

PTF Sections

PTF members belong to one or more of the following Sections:

• Dairy Products
• Bacon, Pigmeat and Canned Foods
• Speciality Cheese
• Yogurt and Short Life Dairy Products

Each Section elects a Committee which meets regularly to review the market and, where appropriate, decide policy on issues relevant to that Section.

Technical and Legislation Group

PTF also has an expert cross-sectoral Technical and Legislation Group which meets regularly to discuss proposals for food legislation and other related technical issues and to provide advice to the PTF secretariat.
